Joint Preparations for a Sustainable Future
As the mobility in Croatia approaches, all partner organizations in the project are finalizing important preparatory activities. Since successful collaboration is key to every step, all partner schools were given the same task: to hold preparatory workshops with their students in their home countries before the trip.
The main goal of these activities was to introduce students to the world of digital modeling and ecological architecture through work in the Tinkercad program. Students from all four schools explored concepts of energy efficiency and applied them to models of sustainable houses. This phase of work in the home schools is crucial as it lays a solid foundation for the collaborative work in mixed international teams that awaits them during the mobility.

🚀 Charting Our Course in 3D Design with Tinkercad!
Today was an absolutely inspiring learning day! Led by our wonderful teacher, Prof. Recinto, we ventured into the dynamic world of 3D design through an engaging video tutorial on Tinkercad.
As you can see from our focused expressions, the video completely commanded the room. It broke down complex modeling concepts into clear, easy-to-understand steps, showing us how simple shapes can be transformed into incredible creations. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the tutorial, as it sparked our imagination and made the possibility of designing our own unique objects feel real and achievable.

Preparations for the Project Hosting: Designing Sustainable Houses of the Future
As part of the preparations for the upcoming project hosting, the students completed two workshops aimed at acquiring the necessary knowledge for future collaborative work with partners from another country. The first workshop, held on April 10th, was dedicated to learning 3D modeling skills. Using the Tinkercad program, students followed a video tutorial and mastered the basics of spatial planning in a digital environment, which served as technical preparation for more complex tasks.
Following the mastery of the program's basics, a second workshop took place on April 29th, where the task was to independently design and create an energy-efficient and sustainable house. Students had to think carefully about the smart use of natural resources and orientation in space. Using a wind rose to mark the cardinal directions, they planned the positioning of the houses, ensuring that the south-facing windows were large to maximize natural sunlight and heat.
When planning green technologies, students had to think critically and added only certain sustainability elements to their houses that they considered the best solution. Thus, they chose between solar panels, wind turbines, heat pumps, or rainwater collection tanks. Through these activities, the students gained valuable knowledge and are ready for the workshop during the hosting, where they will work in teams with guests from the partner country to create such sustainable houses together.
